INK-JET PRINTER USING UV INK AND PRINTING METHOD WITH THE PRINTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet printer using an UV ink capable of performing the printing of a high-definition drawing and/or character with the state of being smoothed on media surface and glossy.

SOLUTION: The ink-jet printer is equipped with an adjustment means 94 for adjusting the length of the time t between the time just after the UV-ink droplets jetted from an ink-jet head 30 impacts on the surface of the media 10 and the time when the UV-ink droplets begin to be irradiated with an ultraviolet rays by an UV irradiation means 50. It is temporally stopped that the UV ink droplets are irradiated with the ultraviolet rays by the UV irradiation means 50 during the time t required for making the UV ink droplets impacting on the surface of the media 10 smoothed on the media 10 surface and then reaching the state of the former UV ink droplets being united with other UV-ink droplets impacting on the media 10 surface near it.
