PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine with newer playing potentialities. SOLUTION: The game machine has a liquid crystal display device 27 which starts the variation of symbols on the display screen 271 with the game balls supposed to enter the starter slot 17 and a central device 26 having the major prize winning slot 311. When the jackpot figures or the like are stopped and displayed on the display screen 271, the shift to the special game state is made. The central device 26 has a start guide region D for guiding the game balls to the starter slot 17, a special guide area A for guiding the game balls to the major prize winning slot 311 and an open/close member 800. When the game machine 1 is under the normal game state, the open/close member 800 lets the game balls enter the starter guide area D and none enter the special guide area A. When the shift to the special game state is made, the open/close member makes none of the game balls enter the starter guide area D and makes them enter the special guide area A.
