PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove an underground obstacle by low noise and low vibration and shorten the time required for removing the underground obstacle. SOLUTION: When removing the underground obstacle composed of an existing pile 5, the removing device 1 is first lowered (A), and then a part of the pile is stored in a storage chamber of the removing device (B). Next, a cutting bit of the removing device 1 is displaced from the downward direction to the horizontal direction. Furthermore, the whole removing device 1 is rotated to cut the pile into round slices by the cutting bit (C). Then, while a part cut into round slices of the pile by the horizontally facing cutting bit is supported from below, the removing device 1 is raised (D). Lastly, the cutting bit is displaced into the downward direction to charge the part cut into round slices on the ground surface side. The above-mentioned processes are repeated to remove the whole pile from the underground part. Since it is unnecessary to crush the existing pile by a chisel in this method, the existing pile 5 can be removed without causing vibration and noise. When compared with a form in which crushing work by the chisel and discharge work by a hammer grab bucket are alternately performed, the existing pile 5 can be removed quickly.
