PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a back rest deformation prevention device for a hinged fork capable of preventing deformation of a back rest, facilitating assembly, and reducing the number of parts. SOLUTION: This back rest device for the hinged fork is constituted in such a way that supporting pins are attached to a hinge frame attached to a mast device of the hinged fork and capable of elevating and lowering freely by separating them by a predetermined interval in the left and right directions of a vehicle body and the back rest is arranged above a finger bar rotating freely by a dump cylinder using the supporting pin as a fulcrum and in front of the hinge frame. This back rest device for the hinged fork is provided with a pin for the back rest for connecting the hinge frame with a lower part of the back rest turnably at a position of the same axis as that of the supporting pin when viewed on a side, and the pin for the back rest has a projection for regulating travel of the back rest in the direction of pin shaft axis to prevent deformation.
