RENEWAL CONSTRUCTION METHOD FOR PASSENGER CONVEYOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a renewal construction method for a passenger conveyor allowing a newly provided frame to move (convey) in an existing frame smoothly without causing mutual interference of frames. SOLUTION: A guide roller 3 provided in the newly provided frame can be installed by moving (conveying) the newly provided frame 1 in the existing frame 4 smoothly to suppress interference between mutual frames. Since a suppressing member 6a for suppressing upward displacement of the guide roller is provided on a top chord member 6 forming an upper end face of the existing frame 4, the guide roller 3 is always abutted on the existing frame 4 to prevent interference (damage) of the newly provided frame 1 and the existing frame 4 securely.
