PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detaching/attaching device for rooftop equipment for a vehicle capable of automatically and efficiently performing detaching work or attaching work of the rooftop equipment for the vehicle without causing obstacle and accident due to coming into contact with a line, cutting it or the like and having sufficient safety measures for preventing accident due to falling down or the like. SOLUTION: This detaching/attaching device for the rooftop equipment for the vehicle is provided with a portal frame 2, the vehicle 4 provided on rails 3, 3 to surround an upper part a and both left and right side faces b, c by the portal frame so as to run and provided with the rooftop equipment 6 on a roof 5, the line 7 stretched along the direction I of arrangement of the vehicle above the roof of the vehicle, a running unit mechanism part 8 provided movably in the direction T crossing the direction I of arrangement of the vehicle in an upper part of the portal frame, and a lift unit mechanism part 9 provided and suspended so as to arrange and insert in the direction crossing the direction of arrangement of the vehicle below the line in the running unit mechanism part and provided so as to suspend the rooftop equipment.
