PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soldering iron capable of protecting a solder wetting part provided on a tip of the soldering iron from high-temperature oxidation or the like, and wetting solder as usual by remaining and holding wet solder in the solder wetting part even when the tip is excessively cleaned. SOLUTION: The solder iron has a solder wetting part 30 to melt solder. A solder remaining part 31 to prevent outflow of the wet solder is provided on the solder wetting part 30, and the solder remaining part 31 consists of a plurality of recessed grooves 32 along the outer periphery of the solder wetting part 30.
