PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus etc., with a communication function capable of easily optimizing a color image display. SOLUTION: An arbitrary pixels to be compared in an image to be reproduced are determined (S 104). The determined pixels and surrounding pixels are compared and whether there is a difference in the data or not is determined (S 105). If there is the difference, determination is made that the image is a photographic image (S 108). If there is no difference, whether the surrounding pixels having no difference continue for the prescribed pixels or more or not is determined (S 106). When determination is made that they continue for the prescribed pixels or more, determination is made that the image is another image other than the photographic image (S 107). When determination is made that the image is another images (illustration, animation, letter, figure, symbol, etc.) other than the photographic image, image data is so corrected that the image displayed in a display element turns to a cold color system (S 109). When determination is made that the image is the photographic image, the image data is so corrected that the image displayed in the display element turns to a warm color system (S 110).
