PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin electromagnetic relay having desired attraction characteristics. SOLUTION: Bending is performed to arms 48, 48 at both the sides that become standing sections 42, 43 positioned at both ends of a body 41 in a flat magnetic material 49 punched by pressworking, while the front is formed nearly in a U shape, and magnetic poles 44, 45 having magnetic pole surfaces 44a, 45a along the horizontal direction are formed each. And a vertical surface passing through the center of the body 41 orthogonally crosses the center of the magnetic pole surfaces 44a, 45a, and the width of the body section 41 is smaller than the height.
