BEARING DEVICE FOR WHEEL HAVING BUILT-IN LOAD SENSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing for wheel having a built-in load sensor in which the load sensor can be compactly installed on a vehicle and which can stably detect the load on the wheel. SOLUTION: An outer member 1 in which a plurality of rows of roll surfaces 4 are formed on the inner circumferential surface and an inner member 2 in which roll surfaces 5 disposed opposite the roll surfaces 4 of the outer member 1 are formed are provided. A plurality of rows of rolling bodies 3 are interposed between the facing roll surfaces 4 and 5 so that the wheel is rotatably supported with respect to the vehicle body. The load sensor 9 for detecting the load on the bearing by detecting the magnetostriction variation is provided at the position on the outboard side with respect to the position of the plurality of rows of the rolling bodies, in the space sealed by sealing devices 7 and 8 on both sides between the outer member 1 and the inner member 2.
