DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING AIR PRESSURE COMPENSATION IN AN AIR-SUSPENDED VEHICLE

The invention relates to a device and a method for controlling air pressure compensation in an air-suspended vehicle. Said device comprises: at least two pneumatic spring devices (1; 2) associated with an axle of the vehicle and also associated with one vehicle long side of the vehicle and provided with one pneumatic spring bellow (3; 4) each for carrying the chassis of the vehicle; a compressed air source (5) for filling, if necessary, the pneumatic spring bellows (3; 4) of the pneumatic spring devices (1; 2) with air via a valve device (6) associated therewith; and at least one throttle device (7) associated with one of the valve devices (6) and arranged between the pneumatic spring bellows (3; 4) of the pneumatic spring devices (1; 2) for the purpose of pressure compensation thereof. A switch device (9) associated with the at least one throttle device (7) switches the throttle device (7) from a passage position to a blocked position and vice versa. A central control unit (10) is linked with the switch device (9) and detects cornering of the vehicle on the basis of signals supplied to it and automatically activates the switch device (9) to switch the at least one throttle device (7) to the blocked position during cornering.
