A steerable rear axle for a road vehicle hydraulic servo cylinders (4) acting on axle supports (5) on each side of the vehicle to swing the axle about a central pivot point (18) and thereby provide a set amount of steering control. The servo modules each comprise a pair of servo cylinders, one each side of the suspension support and linked to a hydraulic circuit including an electrically driven hydraulic pump. The rear axle steering is controlled by a processor in response to the setting of the front wheel steering and the vehicle logistics.
