<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitting apparatus and a receiving apparatus for delivery article handling, capable of being used for collecting evidence of delivery sorting treatment, and the like and further used for guiding and checking sorting work, and the like, and which apparatuses are speedy/accurate and also allow a person unfamiliar with the sorting work to engage in the sorting work. <P>SOLUTION: Various information such as a delivery request registry number, a name and address of a recipient 31, and the like, is inputted and registered in an RFID (radio frequency identification) label 33, and the label 33 is stuck on an article to be delivered. The information is read by an RFID reading/radiocommunicating unit 400 installed on the arm of a sorting worker 31, and sent by the radiocommunicating unit.
