<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively cope with the occurrence of an interrupting condition such as an unusable condition of service providing equipment. <P>SOLUTION: In a service providing system 1 for providing predetermined services, an image forming device 7 is connected in communication with a managing server 3 which manages the system 1 and a client 5 who requests the provision of the services. It has an interrupting condition detecting means, an interrupting condition informing means, and a communication cut-off means. The interrupting condition detecting means detects the interrupting condition of interrupting the provision of the services for the client 5. The interrupting condition informing means informs the managing server 3 of the interrupting condition when detected.
