METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING OPTICAL MULTIPLEXER/DEMULTIPLEXER AND TWO OPTICAL FIBERS WHOSE GLASS FIBER END PARTS ARE EXPOSED

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical multiplexer/demultiplexer which can fully protect a fused splice part of glass fibers of the optical fibers with a fiber type lens, and which can also be miniaturized. SOLUTION: The optical multiplexer/demultiplexer is constituted of two optical fibers whose glass fibers are exposed by removing the clads of one end parts, the fiber type lens made by bringing the glass fibers of these two optical fibers into contact with each other and to fuse and splice one end part to the other, a transparent capillary which holds this fiber type lens and the exposed glass fiber parts of the two optical fibers inside and is fixed with a transparent adhesive, and a filter film substrate to which the other end part of the fiber type lens and the capillary end part positioned at that part are polished so as to be in the same plane and are fixed with the transparent adhesive.
