PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolation structure, reducing bad influence on an environment without Pb as metal plug material, easily separating metal material to recycle the metal plug material, and heightening the recovery rate of metal material. SOLUTION: This base isolation structure includes: a laminated body in which a hard plate 12 composed of an inner hard plate 12a having rigidity, an upper hard plate 12b and a lower hard plate 12c and a rubber layer 13 are alternately stacked; and a metal plug 15 disposed in a hollow part 14 bored in the laminate direction of the laminated body, wherein the metal is an In alloy containing 40 to 80 wt % In, and the melting point of the In alloy is lower than the softening point of the rubber.
