PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulation resin material whose heat insulation characteristics and hardness can arbitrarily be regulated, a fixing member using it, a fixing apparatus, and an image forming device. SOLUTION: A solid material having heat insulation property as a heat insulation material and optionally a closed cell are fixed with a silicone resin to obtain the heat insulation resin material. If a high hardness is needed, it is possible to raise hardness by increasing the solid heat insulation material, and by incorporating the solid material into the silicone resin in a volume ratio of 30-66%, it is possible to realize a hardness of 50-95 in terms of Asker C hardness which is higher than that of the silicone resin. There are provided a fixing member, such as a pressing roller and a heat insulation roller, using it and a fixing apparatus and an image forming device by electrophotography equipped with the fixing member.
