PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent malfunction of each electronic component based on a capacitor, and also, make easy an arrangement design of the electronic component inside a portable electronic device body or an assembling operation of a portable electronic device, in a battery to be provided for the portable electronic device. SOLUTION: The battery 1 is equipped with a battery cell 3 having a pair of electrode terminals 3d, a circuit board 5 electrically connected to each of the electrode terminals 3d of the battery cell 3, a capacitor 7 electrically connected to the circuit board 5, an electronic component provided at the circuit board 5 and controlling charge/discharge of the battery cell 3 or the capacitor 7, an outer connection terminal part 9 electrically connected to the circuit board 5 and supplying power outside from the battery cell 3 and the capacitor 7, and a fixing part 11 covering the circuit board 5 and the capacitor 7 and integrally fixing them to the battery cell 3.
