PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine in which a DC brushless motor is protected by a hard circuit which does not use a microcomputer, since the DC brushless motor is protected with softwares in a microcomputer in the conventional washing machine and the function of software protection with a microcomputer becomes impossible because of a runaway when there are malfunction and a runaway of the microcomputer according to source noise, internal noise and static electricity. SOLUTION: The device protects a DC brushless motor 20a from overload and restraint independently from a microcomputer 40 when the microcomputer 40 makes a runaway. Electric current which flows through a winding in the DC brushless motor 20a is sensed and integrated in an integral circuit 44, and the electric current is blocked off when the output value of the integral circuit 44 exceeds a considered value in a relative circuit 45; then, no operation is made neither in short-time increase in electric current nor in restraint of the motor.
