PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding device capable of driving paper feeding operation and elevating and lowering operation of a tray by one motor in common use without obstacle. SOLUTION: This paper feeding device is provided with the motor 25 capable of rotating in both of forward and reverse directions by utilizing rotation in one direction for paper feeding operation and rotation in the other direction for elevating and lowering operation of the tray 10. The elevating and lowering operation of the tray 10 is performed by abutting a lever 19 protruding from the tray 10 energized by a spring 18 toward the direction of rise on a peripheral face of an eccentric cam 20 rotating together with a cam shaft 21 and restraining rise.
