PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large inorganic partition wall layer for a PDP having a tall partition wall with high strength, low dielectric constant and a high aspect ratio, of which, the width of line and thickness of various patterns of the separation wall after baking and the dielectric scarcely changes, and to provide a manufacturing method for it. SOLUTION: This inorganic partition wall layer for the PDP has the partition wall having the aspect ratio of 1-10 and the height of 100-800μ. The inorganic partition wall layer for the PDP contains an inorganic substance made of spherical inorganic powder. The partition wall has a gap size of a cross-section is 0.1-30μm and a gap area rate is 5-75%. In the manufacturing method for the inorganic partition wall layer for the PDP, a partition wall pattern is formed in an paste layer containing at least two kinds of inorganic powder having different softening points and grain sizes and either of the inorganic powder is the spherical inorganic powder by a sandblasting method, then baked.
