MULTIDIRECTIONAL PUSH SWITCH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multidirectional push switch capable of covering a space produced between a periphery of a rocking knob and a case, of miniaturizing its outside shape and of reducing its thickness. SOLUTION: This multidirectional push switch is provided with: a case 10; a push-button knob 60 installed on the upper surface side of the case 10 and formed by projecting a pressing part 63 from its undersurface; the rocking knob 40 installed on the upper surface side of the case 10 and formed into a shape surrounding the circumference of the push-button knob 60; a pressing member 80 installed on the lower surface side of the case 10 and mounted so as to rock integrally with the rocking knob 40 through insertion parts 17 formed in the case 10; a central switch 103 installed at a position facing to the pressing part 63 of the push-button knob 60; and peripheral switches 105 installed at positions located around the central switch 103 and facing to pressing parts 97 formed on the undersurface of the pressing member 80. When the undersurface of the rocking knob 40 is housed in a recessed part 11 formed in the case 10, the part of the case 10 with the recessed part 11 formed is caused to function as a closing plate 15.
