<p>An activation inhibitor for latent TGF-beta; a method of screening a TGF-beta activation inhibiting substance; and a therapeutic agent for diseases in which TGF-beta is instrumental. There is provided an activation inhibitor for latent TGF-beta, comprising a substance capable of inhibiting any binding between vimentin and partial fragment of LAP. Further, there is provided, relating thereto, a therapeutic agent for diseases in which TGF-beta is instrumental, and provided a method of screening a TGF-beta activation inhibiting substance, characterized in that a substance capable of inhibiting any binding between vimentin and partial fragment of LAP is valuated.</p> |
