The invention provides an ostomy or urinary incontinence bag comprising a reservoir for receiving waste contents, a first opening securable around a stoma site or a catheter to allow waste contents to pass through the opening and into the reservoir in use of the bag, a second openable and re-closeable opening at one end of the bag, and a pad of super-absorbent material provided in the reservoir, the size and shape of the super-absorbent pad being such that the pad fits closely within the reservoir in at least one dimension and extends over the first opening. A kit of parts comprising an ostomy or urinary incontinence bag and, separately from the bag, a pad of super-absorbent material, the size and shape being such that the pad may be inserted into the bag. |
