PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a latex containing a polypyrrole as a conductive material without using any highly water-absorbing dispersant by adding a catalyst to a water-dispersible mixture containing a nonionic chloroprene rubber latex, pyrrole, etc., and subjecting the resultant mixture to a polymerization reaction. SOLUTION: About 20-40 pts.wt. nonionic chloroprene rubber latex (B) of a solid content of about 50wt.% is added to 100 pts.wt. water (A). To the resulting latex, 60-110 pts.wt. pyrrole (C), per 100 pts.wt. solid component of component B, 0.09-0.5mol, per mol of the pyrrole, hydrogen peroxide (D), 0.08-0.15mol of an inorganic acid and 0.004-0.05mol of a catalyst comprising a transition metal or its compound are added. The pyrrole in the resulting mixture is polymerized at -5 to 30 deg.C to obtain a polypyrrole-containing latex. To 100 pts.wt. this latex, 10-30 pts.wt. nonionic polyurethane latex is added to obtain a latex composition. |
