<p>The suction tube, for use in surgery, has a hand piece (10) as a grip with an inner channel (12), and a separate suction tube (16) with an adjustable length, and which is pushed axially into the hand piece, held in place in a friction and sealed fit by a seal (20). The seal is a hollow and cylindrical elastic bush, inserted into a holder (24) at the inner channel, held in place by a cap nut (22) giving axial compression. The suction tube can be of plastics or metal, especially a shape memory retention alloy.</p> |
