PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molded article with low density, low cost and excellent heat insulating property, dimensional stability and good formability without using a foaming gas such as chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) gas, etc., which influences to the environment. SOLUTION: The heat insulating material for building comprising the molded article of the polystyrene resin foamed beads comprises at least two kinds of foamed beads each having different average diameter of foams, contains≥10 vol.% of foamed beads having≤0.2 mm of average diameter of the foam. The molded article of the foamed beads preferably contains a radiation reducing agent, and the agent is excluded from at least upper and lower sides in the thickness direction of the molded article.
