The tool has a case (1) with elongated plane support surfaces (2, 3) perpendicular to each other. Each support surface has a laser beam source (18) adapted for generating a laser beam (18a) along a longitudinal direction. A foldable linear marking unit (10) is adapted for being deployed along another longitudinal direction by extending from the support surface (3) and for being folded in the case by winding on a spool (12) in the case.
