The invention relates to a method for reproducing emotion information, during communication, via a mobile communication terminal (1). Said method comprises the following steps: a) communication data is captured, which comprises a separated data set, and which is associated with one piece of emotion information from a group of emotion information, b) the data set is evaluated by comparing the data set to a plurality of data sets which are associated with one piece of emotion information from the group, c) a memory (3) is accessed, wherein control data is associated with each data set and is used to determine an optical characteristic of an optical component (4) of the mobile communication terminal (1), and d) the emotion information is reproduced using the control data captured in step c) on the optical components (4). The invention also relates to a mobile communication terminal configured in order to carry out said method.
