A conditioning mat (5), particularly for rapidly cooling a vehicle seat cover (4), comprises at least two interconnected thin plastic films (5a, 5b) that form a fluid chamber system (10) and comprises openings (11), which are distributed over the conditioning mat and which pass through the conditioning mat (5) including the plastic films (5a, 5b). In order to effect a conditioning, a conditioning fluid is firstly led through the fluid chamber system. Afterwards, the system is emptied and an airflow is led through a spacer structure (6) in order to draw out moisture passing through the openings (11).
