The present invention is characterized by a device for supplying coolant of a machine tool that supplies coolant to a mist generator (10) at the tip of a spindle (9) through a coolant supply line (40). A coolant extruding means (11) is provid ed to the tip of the spindle near the mist generator to extrude the coolant inside a cylinder room (21) through a valve path (20). The coolant inside the supply line is repeatedly supplied into the cylinder room, whereas the coolant extruded fro m the cylinder room is supplied into the mist generator at proper pressure. When t he coolant pressure inside the supply line is below a fixed level, the coolant inside the supply line flows into the cylinder room. When the coolant pressure inside t he supply line is over a fixed level, the coolant inside the cylinder room is extruded to the mist generator. According to the present invention, liquid dropping and various bad influenc es are prevented, and a fixed amount of coolant is intermittently supplied to t he mist generator. Moreover, a proper amount of coolant is timely supplied into the mist generator by controlling actions of a coolant supply pump. |
