PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide communication equipment capable of automatically selecting a device among a plurality of devices by using an IP telephone number and receiving a call. SOLUTION: A storage section 13 stores a correspondence table 14 where a communication device making correspondence to an IP telephone number is registered. For example, a communication type and the communication apparatus may be made correspondent. An external device 8 makes a connection request to any communication type by using the same IP telephone number. Upon the receipt of a connection request in compliance with the SIP from the external device 8, the communication equipment 1 analyzes a received SDP at that time, detects the communication type, and determines a communication device corresponding to the communication type detected from the correspondence table 14. Then the communication equipment 1 connects the determined communication device to the external device 8 in a communicatable way and the communication equipment 1 relays the communication between both of them.
