PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate an oxygen ion conductive substrate 12 under high voltage and low electric current. SOLUTION: A plurality of electrode couples 13, 14, 15, 16 are formed on an oxygen ion conductive substrate 12, and the respective electrode couples are connected in series. By this constitution, high voltage and low electric current can be realized. Further, the area ratio of the respective electrode couples is made inversely proportional to ion current density, thus the oxygen pump having high reliability can be realized.
