PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a purification method for a polymer and to obtain a hardening composition. SOLUTION: In the purification method, a vinyl polymer having an alkenyl group produced by atom transfer radical polymerization is brought into contact with an absorbent and is purified.
