PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioning system for a vehicle where safety is secured with a simple constitution while using an inflammable refrigerant of small global warming coefficient. SOLUTION: The air conditioning system for a vehicle has an evaporator 16 for supplying the inflammable refrigerant into a unit housing 42 of an air conditioning unit. This system comprises a ventilation pipe 70 for connecting between the outside of the vehicle and the inside of the unit housing 42, a damper 74 for ventilation for opening and closing the ventilation pipe 70, and a controller 64 for positioning the damper 74 at an opened position only in parking of the vehicle.
