<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing device for providing useful information to a traveling person. <P>SOLUTION: This information providing device 1 is provided with a person location specifying part 2 for specifying the location of the traveling person, a person direction specifying part 3 for specifying the direction of the traveling person, a traveling speed calculating part 4 for calculating the speed of the traveling person, a database 7 for storing user relevant information, and a control part 5 for providing the user relevant information via a providing part 8 to an adjacent area on the floor surface or side surface of the traveling person according to the location information of the traveling person specified by the person location specifying part 2, the direction of the traveling person specified by the person direction specifying part 3, and the speed of the traveling person calculated by the traveling speed calculating part 4.
