<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that eliminates uneven luminance effectively and a method for controlling the display device. <P>SOLUTION: A driving transistor 18 in the display device 10 of the time gradation method drives an OLED 16. A time control transistor 22 controls a flashing start timing in correspondence with a luminance signal in a control of a first flashing period, and controls a flashing stop timing in correspondence with a luminance signal in a second flashing period. The time control transistor 22 offsets a shift in the flashing start timing due to the variance in the operation threshold of the time control transistor 22 with a shift in the flashing stop timing due to the variation in the operation threshold of the time control transistor 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
