PATTERNING METHOD OF ORGANIC LIGHT EMITTING DIODE DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passive matrix OLED device which is easy to manufacture.

SOLUTION: The method of laser-patterning a passive matrix organic light emitting diode device, having a multilayer structure including at least one light emitting organic layer, arranged between a substrate and two electrode layers, includes a step of ablating the multilayer structure existing at an irradiation area by irradiating the laser beam on various areas of the multilayer structure in accordance with a prescribed pattern, and practically and simultaneously applies the patterning on the electrode layer and more than one of the light emitting organic layers during the identical irradiation treatment.
