PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To receive and fit a plurality of kinds of plugs by a single receptacle connector for electrically connecting them. SOLUTION: This receptacle connector 1 is constructed of a housing 20 having a plug receiving space 31 in which a USB plug 60 and an AV plug 80 equal to each other in shape are received to be fitted, and a plurality of terminals 40 having contact parts 51-58 exposed to the plug receiving space 31 held by the housing 20. Among terminals 41-48, the terminals 41, 43, 45, and 47 are brought into contact with terminals 66-69 arranged in the USB plug 60 electrically connected when the USB plug 60 is fitted to the plug receiving space 31. The terminals 42, 44, 48 and 48 are brought into contact with terminals 86-89 arranged in the AV plug 80 electrically connected when the AV plug 80 is fitted to the plug receiving space 31.
