PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber holding member which can be improved in workability for assembly, being capable of fixing an optical fiber with accuracy and having small variation of the fixing force. SOLUTION: The optical fiber holding member comprises a clamp member 20 having a threading hole 25 through which an primary coated optical fiber 3 is threaded, and a hollow member 30 with a holding hole in which the clamp member is inserted. The clamp member 20 is provided with an upper lid part 21 sectionally forming a threading hole 25, a lower lid part 22, and a pair of elastically deformable coupling parts 23, 24 for coupling each lid part. The clamp member 20 is inserted into the hollow member 30 and pressurized, and the optical fiber 2 is held and fixed between the respective lid parts 21, 22 by elastically deforming the coupling parts 23, 24.
