PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding wire in a pail in which a wire is free from damage or deformation by surely restraining the starting end of a dropping loop line and by easily releasing the restraint without causing plastic deformation if a force stronger than the restraining force is actuated. SOLUTION: The welding wire 3 is coiled and stored by looping it down in the pail 1, with the starting end 4 of the dropping loop raised upward in the internal face of the pail 1 and restrained therein with a hook-and-loop fastener 5 having a hook end member and a loop end member.
