PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a catalyst for producing bisphenols which can be produced by simple process using a sulfur-containing amine compound, which is contained in wastewater discharged from bisphenol production process and is to be removed, and a production method for bisphenols using the catalyst. SOLUTION: The sulfur-containing amine compound, which is contained in wastewater discharged from bisphenol production process, is adsorbed with an acidic cationic exchange resin to give the catalyst for bisphenol production and the production methods for bisphenols are carried out by using the catalyst.
