PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insertion tool capable of easily inserting a medical tube such as a shunt tube. SOLUTION: This insertion tool for inserting the medical tube such as the shunt tube used for a bypass operation in the tubular organ such as the blood vessel, is provided with a body having a hollow cylindrical sheath tube 3 of a predetermined length having opened both ends, a pushing member having a rod 13 to be inserted in the inside from the proximal end side of the sheath tube of the body and, when the tube 15, inserted from the distal end opening of the sheath tube to the distal end part from its folded base side and installed in a two-folded state, is pushed out by the rod of the pushing member, a guide member 5 guiding the both folded distal end sides of the tube to be pushed in the opposed directions respectively is provided in opposed positions at a predetermined interval apart from the distal end opening face of the sheath tube 3.
