PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring alkaline phosphatase activity, capable of measuring the activity with high sensitivity in a small number of reaction steps within a short time. SOLUTION: In this method for measuring the alkaline phosphatase activity, alkaline phosphatase reaction for converting a phosphorylation coenzyme into a dephosphorylation coenzyme as a substrate and reaction for subjecting the formed dephosphorylation coenzyme to signal amplification by an enzymatic cycling procedure of making the coenzyme cycle through an oxidized form and a reduced form are carried out in the same reaction phase at the same time.
