<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an alkoxylation catalyst which has high activity and can be used for producing an alkylene oxide adduct to an aliphatic alcohol, which has a narrow molecular weight distribution, and to provide the alkylene oxide adduct to the aliphatic alcohol produced by using the alkoxylation catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: This alkoxylation catalyst to be used for reacting the aliphatic alcohol (B) with the alkylene oxide (C) is one or more selected from organometallic compounds shown by the formula: M[RfSO<SB>3</SB>]<SB>n</SB>(wherein M is an element selected from Cu, Cd, Ti, Hf, Cr, Mo, Mn, Fe, Pd and rare-earth metals; (n) is an integer equal to the valence of M; Rf is a 1-16C perfluoroalkyl group). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
