<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for cooling a sheet of recording material in the state of being heated, in particular, to provide a recording material cooling device in which efficient, high speed cooling of the recording material is achieved without an increase in the size of the device. <P>SOLUTION: The cooling device 1 includes: an endless conveying belt 10 stretched by a plurality of support rolls and used for conveying a recording material P while rotating; a heat radiating body 20 having a contact surface 21 capable of coming into contact with the internal surface of the conveying belt 10 in section E through which the recording material P is conveyed; and an electrifier 40 for electrifying the conveying belt 10 or/and the recording material P before the contact of the conveying belt 10 and recording material P. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
