<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of power distribution during a warmup period and the problem of power differences between fixing units. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: the fixing units for fixing toner onto a recording medium by an induction heat system: a temperature detection means for detecting the temperature of each fixing unit; a high frequency power source device for supplying high frequency current to an induction heat source; and a storage means for storing the equivalent impedance information of each fixing unit. In the image forming apparatus, when the temperature of each fixing unit has a predetermined value or below, image forming means except the fixing unit are operated in the mode by which power is restrained until the fixing unit reaches the predetermined temperature.
