<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, since light-emitting components are directly mounted on a flexible printed board conventionally, the number of kinds of surface light source devices is increased, a large space is required for inventory, the risk of the inventory is high, and a user is forced to wait for a long time from the order of the surface light source device to its delivery. <P>SOLUTION: A light emission part 30 is attached to this light source module 22. A connection part 32 connected to a part 27 to be connected of a light guide plate 23 for fixing the light source module 22 on the light guide plate 23 is mounted on the front face of the light source module 22. Connectors 39 connectable to a flexible printed board 38 without using solder are arranged at both ends of the light source module 22.
