<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving image decoding method and a moving image decoding device, capable of preventing the unmeaning decoding of a parameter representing the method for encoding an encoded frame. <P>SOLUTION: A parameter managing part 51 decodes the identifier of the parameter representing the method for encoding the encoded frame, included in a received encoded stream 11, and stores the decoded identifier of the parameter and the parameter representing the encoding method in a parameter-storing part 52. When the parameter designated by a slice decoding part 41 for decoding an encoded frame with the decoded parameter identifier is not decoded, the parameter is decoded and provided to the slice-decoding part 41, to thereby enable prevention of meaningless decoding of the parameter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
