<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear motor controller for controlling and switching a plurality of linear motors without use of a linear scale and reducing a speed ripple, and its control method. <P>SOLUTION: The number of stators straddled by a movable element of the linear motor is determined, current instructions of a plurality of the linear motors are simultaneously changed in a ramp shape by an estimated position obtained from a speed instruction, and a thrust ripple and the speed ripple are reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
